ALBERT KESSLER & PAULA KESSLER
In 1981 Albert and Paula founded HEST Fitness Products (Health Equipment of South Texas) in Corpus Christi. What began as a hobby, revealed to Albert a void in the Fitness Industry that needed to be filled. Albert’s previous welding experience enabled him to design and build prototypes. He discovered that there were manufacturers in the U.S. already making the quality equipment he was seeking. This enabled the young company to focus on educating its customers and providing unequaled service. Albert and Paula understand that the best way to serve the customer is to employ the best people in the industry, maintain high standards of product quality, and to strive to always anticipate and exceed the customer’s expectations. We at HEST Fitness Products want to maintain our dynamic growth and make our standards of quality and excellence available to everyone.
Working at Hest was a natural fit for Joseph where he is the General Manager overseeing the operations and sales and fitness needs of our customers and staff. At the age of 19, Joseph was a Collegiate All-American at Blinn College which led him to a 10 year, 1000 plus game, career In Minor League Baseball. After studying Exercise Science, at McNeese State University, and with 18 years of Fitness Industry experience, Joseph came to HEST Fitness Products a true asset. Since 1992, his knowledge, understanding, and contribution to the customer’s need as well as the HEST staff are incomparable.

Corpus Christi
Brad has 17 years of fitness sales experience, personal training and coaching, which includes 10 years with HEST Fitness Products. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Health in 1990 from Boise State University and became an instructor and coach at Clark College in his hometown of Vancouver. Brad and his wife moved to San Diego, California where he managed Busybody Inc. A family reunion brought Brad here to Corpus Christi in 1999 where he fell in love with the Coastal Bend and what it had to offer and a new relationship with Texas’s oldest specialty fitness provider based here in Corpus Christi, HEST Fitness Products.
Shane began working for HEST Fitness Products in April 2011. Prior to joining the HEST Team he worked as a personal trainer at Gold’s Gym for 2 years. Shane is a N.A.S.M. certified personal trainer and holds a sports nutrition certification as well. He has been involved in fitness for a total of 15 years. His passion for fitness comes from his knowledge of being able to manipulate the appearance of the human body and transforming it to meet the wants and needs of each individual that he works with.
In 1989 Steve joined HEST Fitness Products working both in our Retail and Commercial Divisions. He has 34 years of fitness and wellness experience since becoming a fitness instructor at the age of 18. Steve opened “The Powerhouse Gym” in Corpus Christi in 1985 which later merged with “Corpus Christi Health Club” which he managed until coming to the HEST Family. He lives the life of an athlete which includes his beloved sport of Competitive Arm-Wrestling. Steve understands what is needed to achieve your fitness goals, maintain wellness, and support your rehabilitation needs
Wes joined the Hest Fitness Products Sales Team in March 2011. He made the move to Corpus Christi from Galveston County to further his education. Wes is working on his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at Texas A&M in Corpus Christi. Wes is a juvenile type 1 diabetic, and manages his health through proper diet and exercise such as, kayaking and surfing. Wes’ goals are to help struggling diabetic patients live a healthy and normal life with pump therapy, nutrition, and exercise prescription.

Dianne c
ame to HEST Fitness Products in 2004. Dianne has 20 years experience including Athletic Director, Director of Personal Training and Gym Management. In 2010, she stepped into the Store Manager’s position of our McAllen location. She shares her knowledge and passion for fitness with her customers as well has her sales team. Dianne believes everyone can live a happier, healthier life with direction, support and the right equipment to fit your fitness needs.
Edgar has been with Hest since 2004. He began in the delivery and installation department knowing the importance of customer service and the need to exceed the customer’s expectations. The true HEST experience does not end with the sale but is a relationship extending to the delivery and installation team as well as service and ongoing support of the customer’s changing needs and goals. In 2010, Edgar joined the sales staff where his mission is to match you with the best equipment for a healthier lifestyle.
Rex is a true example that fitness and wellness is a way of life and not a fad. With over 44 years of experience in the Fitness Industry, he knows the goals of the younger fitness enthusiast and understands the wants and needs of the baby boomer. Rex applies his knowledge and experience to the needs of the customer so that they too can succeed in their journey to a healthier life.
Al has served at HEST Fitness for a total of 16 years. He has held the title of Store Manager for 15 years of those years and has served 1 year as Service Manager and working in Commercial Sales. Growing up, he was very active in sports. He often played football and ran both track and cross country. He believes in the importance of staying healthy and that to do so is a lifelong endeavor, not just a fad. Al has been married for 22 years and is the proud father of 3 daughters and 1 son.
San Antonio
Deciding to get out of the Air Force after 9 years, BIGGS pursued his passion for fitness and began his career with HEST fitness products. While overseas, he played Semi Pro football for the Corinthian Cowboys and one year of minor league football for the San Antonio Talons once back in the states. BIGGS is actively involved in youth sports through his work as a coach and commissioner. He is passionate about helping individuals reach their goals and live a productive healthy lifestyle.
In the 5 years with HEST, Bruce has worked in retail and commercial equipment sales as well as service. He is passionate about helping others reach their fitness goals and full potential. Bruce has helped many customers get started on a safe, effective program since becoming a Personal Trainer and Nutritionist in 1994. With 16 years in the Fitness Industry, he shares his experience in sports, fitness and life with everyone. Bruce consults with clients to implement the right equipment and functional layout specifically designed for their needs and goals.
John comes to Hest Fitness Products having 23 years experience in the fitness industry. He has worked in the areas of manufacturing, retail, owning his own consulting company, and now commercial sales in our San Antonio location. During his time in the industry, he has trained thousands of sales people as well as writing several training manuals. He and his wife of 26 years have one child who attends the University of Missouri. He stays active and enjoys playing golf in his spare time.
I began my life in the fitness world in the early 80’s. During my 12 years in specialty fitness equipment sales, I have worked in assembly, delivery and set-up, retail sales and commercial sales. I’ve been working at the HEST San Antonio location since 2000. I’ve gained a vast amount of knowledge in various fitness programs, specializing in HR Training and novice fitness programs. My continued health and fitness lifestyle enables my understanding of our customer’s needs and expectations.
